Poem by Torique Miller-Palmer (Joanna's Nephew) My auntie bubs, an amazing woman, strong and a role model to everyone who knew her, she was a fighter and never gave up even if it hurt her. My auntie bubs, she did so much for everyone and when she was told she had cancer she never stopped giving. My auntie bubs, she wanted to do so much although her body told her, it could only do so little, but she didn’t listen to her body, she didn’t list to her cancer and she carried on fighting. And the day my auntie bubs died I looked up to the sky and saw the sun shining after days of fog. So I know my auntie bubs is up there and she is happy, free of pain and I know she’s watching and listening down on us right now, rest in peace, my auntie bubs.
